Horizons burst with poppies after becoming battlefields. Because of this, they are often associated with remembering those lost. I look at poppies wonder if they carry souls... and perhaps those souls can’t get there without some help. It doesn’t feel so different from a mother carrying their young on their back when they are too tired to walk.
